Initial experience with posterous

I really like it...I have been using it for a bit now and must say that I really appreciate the simplicity of the interface. Very clean and well organized. Just the right amount of data is provided in a very uncluttered and intuitive manner. Being able to post to multiple services concurrently is without a doubt hugely valuable. Personally, I'm rather lazy, so I would just opt to not post on other services at all were it not for a service such as posterous.

I like to poke around in my surroundings and see what other people are up to but, it is really not fun with so much repetition. My only real gripe thus far, really not even a gripe, is that I've had a less than satisfactory experience using Explore. The tagline of Explore thousands more... doesn't really apply in my experience. More aptly, explore a few things, thousands of times. "A random selection..." is less random than I would have expected. I, personally, see the same posts repeated over and over upon reloading the page.

Taking into consideration that explore is not even really a feature of what posterous does, I really have to say that it is a winner and an excellent tool. A hearty thank you and well done  to the posterous crew!

Thanks for the feedback about Explore. We'll be spending some time sprucing that part up soon. Please keep the feedback coming, it's the only way we'll be able to get better! =)

Posterous offers a really nice option for someone wanting to just create content. It supports a wide variety of media, is very easy and the minimalist design offers a consistent user experience

I use posterous in conjunction with a custom wordpress solution, but posterous makes posting so easy, I've posted here more then anywhere else. What's missing is a disqus log-in.

exactly chris, being able to single-source publish is what was really irritating me. having to use different methods and interfaces to publish the same thing in multiple places was/is a real point of pain that posterous addresses spectacularly.
